Gift for Generations

the_gift_announcement\r\n\r\nTrailhead Church has a vision and a heart for generations, and as many of you know, we are looking to make some big changes to grow into the vision God has given us. Therefore, I am excited to tell you about a special giving opportunity we are planning next month at Trailhead! \r\n\r\nOn December 15, 2012, we will be taking up a special offering we are calling “A Gift for Generations.” God has greatly blessed us in the five years that we have been in Alamance County. As you may have noticed, we are almost at maximum capacity in our current location. Praise God! Using this special offering, we plan to deepen our impact in Alamance County, improve our ministry to our regular attenders, and reach more people who need Christ.\r\n\r\nI ask that you and your family would begin praying now to ask God what he would have you give, over and above your regular giving, to this special offering. God loves a cheerful giver, and I encourage you to give cheerfully and generously as the Holy Spirit leads you. I know that you will see the blessings of God in your own life as a result!\r\n\r\n“God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” II Corinthians 9:8\r\n\r\n

Pastor Joshua and Anna Gresham

Josh & Anna Gresham\r\n\r\nPastor Joshua was born and raised in West Virginia. Growing up in a Christ-centered atmosphere, he knew at the age of fourteen that he was called to the ministry. Joshua graduated from Teays Valley Christian School in 1997. He continued his education at Marshall University, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. During his college years, Joshua was actively involved in several campus ministries. This would lay the foundation for the birthing of Campus Flood, the first ministry that Joshua and his wife Anna began in 2004.\r\n\r\nHe met his wife, then Anna Huffman, in the fall of 2002. They connected as friends right away, and by the following spring they were in love. Anna is the daughter of Darrell Huffman, pastor of New Life Church in Huntington, West Virginia. Soon after meeting Anna, Joshua began volunteering at New Life Church, and jokes that he went from lowering angels in the Easter play, to playing the bass guitar in the worship team, to marrying the pastor’s daughter. Joshua and Anna were engaged in the fall of 2003, and were married on June 26, 2004. They soon added to their family, and are now abundantly blessed with three handsome sons and one beautiful daughter. Caedmon, Cohen, Colton and Carly are sure to keep the Gresham home on the move!\r\n\r\nPastor Joshua is an avid hiker and all around outdoorsman. He enjoys mountain biking, kayaking, and anything that involves sleeping on the ground in a tent. He has hiked the Grand Canyon 9 times, climbed Mt. St. Helens, and has gone from the highest point of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park to the lowest point at Death Valley in Nevada. Joshua incorporates traveling in his ministry life as well; taking college groups and church groups along with him to enjoy this journey we call life. \r\n\r\nPastor Joshua’s ministry career began in May of 2004 when he started working at New Life Church, editing and directing in the media department. He then went on to begin a very successful campus ministry called Campus Flood at Marshall University. Campus Flood is still active today and has branched out to other colleges around the east coast. During that time Joshua and his wife took over as the youth ministers of New Life Church, where they ministered weekly to 6th through 12th grade students in Regeneration Youth.\r\n\r\nIn 2008 Pastor Josh and Anna felt led to plant a church in Burlington, NC. Following that leading they started Trailhead Church on September 28, 2008 in the Ramada Inn Convention Center. Trailhead eventually moved into the Holly Hill Mall in Burlington, and in 2010 moved once more to Graham. Trailhead is a place where vision is set, life is changed, and navigation toward God’s will is the main pursuit. Pastor Josh’s primary passion is to see more and more people come into intimate relationships with Jesus as Trailhead continues to grow in influence in the Triad area and the world. \r\n

Giving

You might expect us to say something like “it’s better to give than to receive.” But if we truly look at it as God would have us, it’s better to give what we receive. Through God, we receive many things – our talents, finances, opportunities, possessions – and in return, He asks that we give back only a portion. It is through this commitment that we enable more hearts to be reached, more lives to be changed, more souls to be stirred, more families to be brought together and more hope to be shared. With Him, there is as much receiving as there is giving. And we are thankful for the resources with which we are entrusted through his faithful provision to each of you.\r\n\r\n“God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” II Corinthians 9:8\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ministries

    Trailhead Kids

\r\nTrailhead loves kids, and it shows. We have created age-appropriate services for all children from newborn through the fifth grade. Children’s services are provided during all church services.\r\n\r\nNewborn-Toddlers: Our nursery is designed to earn the trust of parents. Caring nursery teachers provide a safe and healthy environment as they serve children with the love of Christ. Parents are provided a number associated with their child and will be notified during the service just in case they are needed.\r\n\r\nKinder-5th grades: Trailhead Kids is an exciting, fun-filled, and action packed service consisting of great music, video, drama, puppets, and captivating teachings. Skilled teachers make the Bible understandable and alive. Your child will be begging you to go to church!\r\n\r\nWant to learn more or have questions about getting involved contact Christian by email!\r\n\r\n”All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.”\r\nIsaiah 54:13
