The Alternative Christmas Market is a Kingdom centered alternative to our society’s materialist centered Christmas celebrations. I often hear the expression, what do you give to the person who has everything? The answer can be found in our Alternative Christmas catalog. Instead of a gift that we give just to give something, what if we gave a gift that not only showed our love for the person we give the gift to, but also allowed someone else in the world to receive hope through an expression of love and the power of the Gospel? So, let’s say you normally spend $30 on someone for Christmas. The Alternative Christmas Market allows you to find say, a clutch of chickens through Plant with Purpose for $10. We will then provide you with a card, which you can place with your now $20 gift, that tells the recipient that a clutch of chickens has been purchased in their honor through Plant with Purpose. By doing so, you have helped recapture the true spirit of Christmas back in some small way, shared the love of Jesus with your friend, and enabled the Gospel to be shared once Plant with Purpose provides a family in one of the areas they service with the chickens you have purchased.

How can you make a purchase you may be wondering? We will open our Alternative Christmas Market from 5-7 in our Family Life Center. There will be representatives present that can tell you more about the organizations we feature. You will be able to complete an order form that night with your selections and we will provide the cards for you by the next Sunday. The cards will feature artwork from our children here at Grove Park. The Christmas Market will remain available for purchases through Sunday, December 9.
