We are a married couple (10 years this year) in our early 30’s with 4 daughters: Olivia-7, Charlotte-5, Amelia-2, and Hazel- 1.5 months. We live in Burlington. Alex has an IT role at Labcorp and travels often. Alexis is a stay at home Mom. As if life wasn’t crazy enough, we also have 4 dogs and 4 cats. We are typically home bodies. We love hanging out at home with the kiddos playing outside, watching movies, or spending time with our parents. Obviously, the majority of our events will be family focused because we feel it is so important for our kids to see us enjoying healthy Christian friendships. We also see this as an amazing opportunity for our kids to build lifelong Christian friendships. We want our group to love on each other, encourage one another and build each other up. Iron sharpens iron. We have some ideas for really fun group events, but we also want to involve everyone in planning. The events will vary in location, but we plan to do most events on the weekend, between Friday afternoon and Sunday evening. We look forward to meeting all of you and your families!

Tyler & Dominique’s Group
We are a 31 year old couple with a 4 year old daughter. We are so excited to make friends, build and strengthen relationships through Christ! We will meet once a month and choose family friendly activities every month. Occasionally, we may have a bible study or men/women only event. Some ideas of activities we will plan: cooking/pot lucks, game nights, parks/picnics, eating out, summer fun activities, celebrating all holidays, seasonal events, bowling, putt putt & more! We are so blessed to have you join us to better the kingdom!
Art & Darlene’s Group
We have been married for 35 years and have ministered out of our home as elders and pastors for most of our marriage. This group will be focused on adults and married couples and will feature a relaxed atmosphere where we can view faith-building videos with discussion afterward. We will lean away from videos that involve homework as we do not want to place people in a position of skipping group because they were busy or forgot to do it. We will pray together at each meeting to lift up the prayer needs of members. We would like to also do occasional outdoor fellowship activities such as boating and campfires as our home is on the Haw River.
Dustin & Elizabeth’s Group
We are small family of 4 in our late 20’s! One 3 year old girl and a 5 month old boy, oh and 2 pups and 5 baby chickens! We love the outdoors and camping/hiking. We love crafting, eating, and enjoying friends and family. We will be doing outdoor activities at local parks, local events that are going on, as well as dinners and game nights.
Josh & Karen’s Group
We are a married couple in our mid 30’s with an 8 yr old daughter, Echoe, and a small puppy, Koda! We love to spend time as a family and enjoy outings and get togethers that are family friendly! Josh is a huge foodie and enjoys cooking and eating, so our group will definitely spend time filling up on delicious meals! Our family also enjoys being outside and partaking in leisure activities (walking, low-moderate hikes, golf, swimming, biking, etc.). We welcome anyone from all ages and walks of life that share in these same interests to join us on this journey!
Trevor & Olivia’s Group
Olivia and I have been attending Trailhead for about 2 1/2 years, and we actively volunteer in children’s church. We believe it is important to build relationships in the church and community.
We are newlyweds and love adventure. We love attending sporting events, going out to eat, and participating in activities outdoors. I am an athletic director so due to our schedules, most of our events will take place on weekends. We live in Burlington so most of our events will be in Burlington, but we don’t mind traveling to surrounding areas!
Rob & Cari’s Group
We are Rob and Cari Schmidt, a couple transitioning from our thirties to forties with three teenage daughters. Rob is an IT Professional who works from home, and Cari is an elementary school teacher. We are so excited to be leading a Trailguide group at Trailhead! We recently moved to NC from WA where we were part of a group for many years and made lifelong friendships. Our desire is to create the same type of group with you- one where we fellowship together, laugh together, pray together, and basically just do life together! We would love to do a short bible study, prayer, and fellowship each Thursday evening, and then meet for a meal and/or some sort of fun event on the fourth week. We even have three built in babysitters for our bible study weeks, so we welcome *all* ages, young and old!
Brian & Nicole’s Group
“We are farmers, bum ba dum bum bum bum bum!” Brian and I (Nicole) are thrilled to be leading a group this year with our trailhead family! We have been blessed by this church since 2012 and have enjoyed raising our family here. We are in our early 30’s and have two boys ages 4 and 2. Any young families in their mid 20’s to late 30’s would fit right in with our crazy clan. We hope to typically plan family friendly events on Fridays, Saturdays, and maybe some Sundays after church depending on the availability of the group. Most events will probably be kid-friendly, but we plan to throw in some kid-free events too for everyone’s enjoyment (and sanity haha). Some monthly get-togethers would include (but not be limited to) cookouts/bonfires, hiking/picnics at local parks, bowling, science centers or children’s museums, zoo trip, ladies/men’s nights, game nights, local baseball game, splash park, camping, partnering with another Trailguide group for outings…and of course any ideas the group comes up with that may peak an interest. Brian is in local law enforcement and is in the national guard and Nicole works at a medical facility in durham so needless to say, we are used to working around crazy schedules to accommodate everyone. We live in Gibsonville, but the events would vary between Gibsonville, Burlington, Graham and other local areas depending on the event for the month. We can’t wait to meet you all!”
Allen & Kerry’s Group
We may be retired but we still think like 30 year olds. We love to fellowship and have fun with all age groups. We would like to invite singles, married couples, and families with and without kids to our group. We enjoy outdoor activities like picnics and hiking, and indoor activities as well. Allen likes playing golf and Kerry likes tracing family trees. We both enjoy studying and learning history. Our group get together and events will mostly be on a Friday evenings, Saturday, or Sunday afternoons. Come join us for fellowship, spiritual growth and fun!
Taylor & Leslie’s Group
We are Taylor and Leslie (26 and 35 yrs old) and have been married for 5 years and have two children (Kennedy, 4 and Kolton, 2). Leslie works in the school system and loves being with kids. Taylor is in law enforcement and his schedule is the reason that our meeting dates and times will vary. It will be our goal to plan and schedule events enough in advance to allot enough time for preparation and flexibility around the crazy schedules of work and family!
We want our group to include all ages, families, singles and kids. We look forward to cookouts, potlucks (dinners), game nights and sporting events! We love being outdoors and eating! We want our group to be about fellowship and loving on each other. We want group members to feel welcome at all times. We can’t wait to love on our group and become like family!
Jason & Casey’s Group
We are Jason and Casey Roney and we have 3 daughters!! We enjoy family events such as cookouts and bowling or park/pool events!! We love incorporating our kids in our group but occasionally we have group date night or separate the men and women to help develop relationships!! We typically gather on a Friday or Saturday and sometimes more then once a month for a coffee date. Our passion is sowing into marriages and growing relationships. We look forward to meeting you!
Eli & Cassie’s Group
The focus of our group is to help you feel welcome and make meaningful connections. We are in our mid-30s and have two children under ten. Our group is primarily focused on young couples or singles between late 20s and mid 40s, with kids of any age in tow! Events are generally fellowship-minded, including picnics, pot lucks, board game nights, etc. Events are largely kid-inclusive, but occasionally we gear events towards adults only. We aim to meet on Fridays or Saturdays, and we
generally stay in the Graham/Mebane/Gibsonville area, although these can vary.
If you want a genuinely welcome environment for meeting new people with no pressure, we would love to have you in our group!
Tim & Olivia’s Group
Tim and I have been married 6 years and have 2 little girls, our 5 year old daughter Carigan and our infant daughter Delaney. Our Trailguide group is a family oriented group. We like to plan the majority of our events as kid friendly activities that can involve the whole family. The age range for the group is generally in the mid 20’s to late 30’s, with children ranging from infant to school age. We enjoy a variety of activities, such as outdoor hikes, picnics, volunteering, cooks outs and game nights. We typically meet on the weekends, but the days can vary depending on the event and everyone’s availability. This group is a great way to strengthen relationships, create memories, spend quality time with family and grow together in Jesus Christ.
