Genesis 1:2 says that “The Spirit of God was MOVING over the face of the waters.” Have you ever imagined this scene? The Holy Spirit moving?
Movement was present during the creation of the world. Throughout the Bible, we see that God created music and dance for His Glory! And He invites us to dance in worship.
We plan to meet once a week to dedicate 90 minutes of worship in dance. We will also be directing some exercises, but the goal is to gather worshipers together, to pray and dance together. We call those who are open and willing to join us in the presence of God and with the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
If you have ever listened to worship music and something inside of you wants to dance or you imagine yourself dancing, come join us!
“Praise Him with timbrel and dancing…” ~Psalm 150:4

Each month we will plan a fun and exciting activity where we, as the awesome moms that we are, and all of our adorable little sweethearts can come together in fellowship! Events will be planned at various times and dates to accommodate every mom’s busy schedule! We look forward to taking the time to get to know each other and build strong relationships as we serve the Lord together! Just know that this group is here for YOU, we are all here to show love and to let you know that you are not alone!!
Alex & Alexis’s Group
We are a married couple (10 years this year) in our early 30’s with 4 daughters: Olivia-7, Charlotte-5, Amelia-2, and Hazel- 1.5 months. We live in Burlington. Alex has an IT role at Labcorp and travels often. Alexis is a stay at home Mom. As if life wasn’t crazy enough, we also have 4 dogs and 4 cats. We are typically home bodies. We love hanging out at home with the kiddos playing outside, watching movies, or spending time with our parents. Obviously, the majority of our events will be family focused because we feel it is so important for our kids to see us enjoying healthy Christian friendships. We also see this as an amazing opportunity for our kids to build lifelong Christian friendships. We want our group to love on each other, encourage one another and build each other up. Iron sharpens iron. We have some ideas for really fun group events, but we also want to involve everyone in planning. The events will vary in location, but we plan to do most events on the weekend, between Friday afternoon and Sunday evening. We look forward to meeting all of you and your families!
Tyler & Dominique’s Group
We are a 31 year old couple with a 4 year old daughter. We are so excited to make friends, build and strengthen relationships through Christ! We will meet once a month and choose family friendly activities every month. Occasionally, we may have a bible study or men/women only event. Some ideas of activities we will plan: cooking/pot lucks, game nights, parks/picnics, eating out, summer fun activities, celebrating all holidays, seasonal events, bowling, putt putt & more! We are so blessed to have you join us to better the kingdom!
Art & Darlene’s Group
We have been married for 35 years and have ministered out of our home as elders and pastors for most of our marriage. This group will be focused on adults and married couples and will feature a relaxed atmosphere where we can view faith-building videos with discussion afterward. We will lean away from videos that involve homework as we do not want to place people in a position of skipping group because they were busy or forgot to do it. We will pray together at each meeting to lift up the prayer needs of members. We would like to also do occasional outdoor fellowship activities such as boating and campfires as our home is on the Haw River.
Movie Club
A group for like minded movie lovers. If you go all the time, once in a while or just need an excuse to see The Avengers for the fourth time, you are welcome!
Intercessor’s for Alamance county
Our mission for this group is to take on interceding for Alamance county. We sing, pray and worship the Lord at every meeting. We will start going to different places to pray over places and peoples. We are going to start taking responsibility for our county and when we see a wrong we will pray for a way for God to make a right. We believe that we need more of God in our community and the best way is through prayer and worship. So if you have a desire to intercede through prayer, dance, drawing, painting or most any art form come on and try us out, if you like what we are about then sign up. God made all of the arts and He lets us use what He has made for His Glory and Honor. I am so excited to get this started, I felt led to change our group name and to change our meetings somewhat. Come on out and catch a blessing and be a blessing to our entire community.

Our goal is to be diverse in our athletic events and as competitive as possible! We hope you will join us as we build our Trailhead community, one sporting event at a time.
Golf Group
My name is Joe Hunt, and I enjoy going golfing regularly. Our group would plan to go to the driving range weekly or biweekly, and play a round of golf once or twice a month depending on interest, weather, etc. Personally, my schedule is flexible, but I can see the possibility of doing the driving range in the evenings (especially as we get into summer) and playing rounds on the weekends.
Fellowship Riders
Our current members are ages 20 to 65 who share a love of motorcycles in a Christian environment. We hold weekly fellowship rides, charity rides, weekend trips and outreaches for Christ around the hub of motorcycling. If you are a licensed rider and have access to a motorcycle this a great group for you! Each affiliate group of fellowship riders is hosted by a local church. The national group holds a strict Christian code of conduct and have national SOPs, guidelines and rules that govern each affiliate group nationwide. Our groups involves themselves with local and personal evangelism, angel tree ministry, prison ministry, and expanding global evangelistic outreach to name a few. As fellowshipriders.org explodes world-wide with riders coming to Jesus worldwide. Our national mottos are “Powered by Christ” and “Start a rumble in your church”. Nationally 98% of all motorcycle riders are unchurched. Here is our ministry field white to harvest.

Josh is a huge foodie and enjoys cooking and eating, so our group will definitely spend time filling up on delicious meals! Our family also enjoys being outside and partaking in leisure activities (walking, low-moderate hikes, golf, swimming, biking, etc.). We welcome anyone from all ages and walks of life that share in these same interests to join us on this journey!
Brian & Nicole’s Group
“We are farmers, bum ba dum bum bum bum bum!” Brian and I (Nicole) are thrilled to be leading a group this year with our trailhead family! We have been blessed by this church since 2012 and have enjoyed raising our family here. We are in our early 30’s and have two boys ages 4 and 2. Any young families in their mid 20’s to late 30’s would fit right in with our crazy clan. We hope to typically plan family friendly events on Fridays, Saturdays, and maybe some Sundays after church depending on the availability of the group. Most events will probably be kid-friendly, but we plan to throw in some kid-free events too for everyone’s enjoyment (and sanity haha). Some monthly get-togethers would include (but not be limited to) cookouts/bonfires, hiking/picnics at local parks, bowling, science centers or children’s museums, zoo trip, ladies/men’s nights, game nights, local baseball game, splash park, camping, partnering with another Trailguide group for outings…and of course any ideas the group comes up with that may peak an interest. Brian is in local law enforcement and is in the national guard and Nicole works at a medical facility in durham so needless to say, we are used to working around crazy schedules to accommodate everyone. We live in Gibsonville, but the events would vary between Gibsonville, Burlington, Graham and other local areas depending on the event for the month. We can’t wait to meet you all!”
Trevor & Olivia’s Group
Olivia and I have been attending Trailhead for about 2 1/2 years, and we actively volunteer in children’s church. We believe it is important to build relationships in the church and community.
We are newlyweds and love adventure. We love attending sporting events, going out to eat, and participating in activities outdoors. I am an athletic director so due to our schedules, most of our events will take place on weekends. We live in Burlington so most of our events will be in Burlington, but we don’t mind traveling to surrounding areas!
Dustin & Elizabeth’s Group

Eli & Cassie’s Group
The focus of our group is to help you feel welcome and make meaningful connections. We are in our mid-30s and have two children under ten. Our group is primarily focused on young couples or singles between late 20s and mid 40s, with kids of any age in tow! Events are generally fellowship-minded, including picnics, pot lucks, board game nights, etc. Events are largely kid-inclusive, but occasionally we gear events towards adults only. We aim to meet on Fridays or Saturdays, and we
generally stay in the Graham/Mebane/Gibsonville area, although these can vary.
If you want a genuinely welcome environment for meeting new people with no pressure, we would love to have you in our group!
